many editors have, but I didn't mean availability - it's part of my job
to be around on MANY workstations on campus, and I can't rely on every
institute's site admin to install the editor of my choice (just NOT
to fight holy wars :-)), so I stick to vi. 
Anyway, my mail was intended to be a hint, surely not to start a fight,
and if one can work on a given set of workstations, this point is
not of interest at all.
