Subject: Hi all

Hello all!
Well, I finally got around to installing djgpp and have great
hope for it. As with all new software, however, I am having trouble
getting started. I have read a couple faq lists, but all is still not
clear, so hopefully, someone here can be of assistance.

First of all, what do most people use as an editor? I suppose I
could use edit or any word processor, but it is exhausting exiting the
program every time I need to compile. When there is an error, I
have to reenter the program and count the number of lines down to find
it, then try to remember exactly what it was. There has to be a better way.

Second, where can I get a list of all the functions supported. I
couldn't find one in the help system, although I think I am missing some
files. Which brings me to my third question. I can not get everything
in the info program to work. In particular, I can not get 'h' to work,
and I feel that many of my questions could be answered if I could just
go through that beginner get to know you option once.

Finally, a question that may or may not fit here, but, since I am
fitting it in at the end with a whole bunch of legitimate questions,
might as well. How do I learn about flat mode assembly programming. I
obtained a compiler with a dos extender for the purpose of being able to
write a couple of assembly routines that would use all memory.

Well, that you. I look forward to many months (or years) of
constructive discussions about djgpp.
