From what you've told, your problem has nothing specific to do with DJGPP.
After all, until you actually invoke one of the DJGPP programs, you can't
blame them for anything like screwing your disk partition, right?  While
you unzip them, the only program that could make any damage is the one you
use to unzip the archives.

I would dig out one of the disk-repairing program and pray that they help.
