First comment is that you don't have the latest gcc (2.6.3).  I would
recommend installing the newer gcc, and also make certain you have the
maintenance files dj112m1.zip through dj112m4.zip.  The FAQ (faq101.zip) has
a section on dealing with crashes.  One possible cause of crashing under make
is insufficient _conventional_ memory.
