Do you mean to say that the swapping (actually, paging) happens on the
networked drive ALTHOUGH you defined it to happen on c:?  If so, then
check the GO32TMP variable, not TMPDIR.  TMPDIR is where the temporary
files are put (e.g. when your program calls tempfile()).
