Subject: Dumb Newbie Question Re:Low Memory Accesss

Does gcc support far (16:32) pointers? I was under the (erroneous)
impression that, coming from the boring but simple Unix world of
flat address spaces, gcc did NOT support far pointers.

All this discussion of low memory access seems to indicate otherwise.
What gives?

[Question was dumb, and worthy of rude answers, but short. Please
 keep flames brief :-)]
