Subject: make problems

I just upgraded from dj111 and mak369 to dj112 and mak371 and I'm having
a couple of problems. First, I can't get the makefile to make archives
in a manner that I'm happy with. In my old Makefile, I specified
dependencies by using

libfoo.a(foo1.o) : foo1.h foo2.h foo3.h

This no longer seems to work. I could go into the other things I've
tried, mostly from the info file for mak371, but nothing has worked
so far. I don't see any reason to describe what I've tried if someone
has something that works, and by "works", I mean something that
doesn't try to update the library if none of the objectfile's
dependencies have changed.

One last thing. The djgpp files at gaia.ucs.orst.edu seem to have
many bad files. Is there someone to whom I should tell this?

Thanks,
Steve
