One cause might be that your network redirector doesn't have
enough available free file handles.  I'm not an NFS expert,
but presumably there should be a parameter in one of the PC-NFS
configuration files which defines how many files can you have
open simultaneously on the networked drives.  You must ensure
you have at least 15 there.
