Subject: Some utilities crash under Windows.
To: djgpp <djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu>

Maybe there is just a problem in my system, and maybe not...

Trying to slowly changing my development with djgpp from DOS (emm386.exe) to
Windows dos shell, I noticed some annoying problems with some
often-used utilities and programs...

As someone pointed out, Windows dos shell is one of the best development
environments to simplify the jump to the upcoming DJGPP V2.0, so I'd like
to use every util and program I'm used to under DOS.

This is the list of util/programs and their problems...

info.exe (2.10-p1)	crashes windows on page scroll.
make.exe (3.71) chashes windows on exec (or spawn, or ????
just run, say, make --version (or the like).
v2-make-3.72.2.exe	This is claimed to run only in DPMI envir., in fact
it won't run under dos, BUT crashes under windows!
find.exe Say DPMI: not enough memory.
mst.exe (gnu smalltalk 1.1.1, compiled by me) DPMI: not enough memory.

Well, maybe the last two are not a big problem (in particular the last, mst).

This is my brief system config:
i386sx 20MHz
4Mb RAM
using 4dos in place of command.com
Windows 3.1, 4Mb swap file
djgpp 1.12m4
can't remember memory reported by go32.exe...

Please help me... or, at least, give me suggestions about bypassing those
problems...

BAU!
