I got a copy of gcc of the internet (ftp.mcc.ac.uk) in directory /pub/djgpp/simtel for my 80486 PC but cannot seem to compile any programs. Whenever I try to compile a program, I get the message: This program requires a version of go32 (1.12.maint3) newer than this one (ie. I have 1.12.maint) - and why would they include this out-of-date version if it came as part of the package of files. Please help me if you can.
