The compiler (binary version of it, anyway) doesn't have any effect on 
the sources, so the best bet is to install them in order of the 
timestamp. (In fact, the compiler -- gcc263bn.zip -- is just a recompiled 
version using the 112m4-patched library.)

(If this help, I install djgpp with the following order:

  dj???bn.zip    (Excluding djsrc, djlsr, djtst, and some other.)
  binutils
  gcc263bn.zip   (The 1.12m3 version)
  m1 patch
  m2 patch
  m3 patch
  m4 patch
  gcc263bn.zip   (The 1.12m4 version)
)
