How about some djgpp makefiles as alternatives (some contrib programs use
makefile.tc and makefile.dj)? Some of us don't have versions of Turbo
Make which support certain constructs, and we wouldn't mind running make
manually (no recursion), but editing makefiles for Turbo C make which,
for example, generate response files, can be a PITA.
