Can you post the details on your system configuration?  In particular,
these items would help diagnose your problems:

	your CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT
	what go32 prints when called with no arguments
	put ``topline'' into your GO32 environment variable and
	  post what it shows when the crash/lock-up happens
	error messages, if any, which are printed when Make crashes
