A common cause of problems with make is insufficient DOS memory, especially
for recursive makes.  Under OS/2, I can set VIDEO_MODE_RESTRICTION to CGA and
get a 720K window which seems to make OPUS make more reliable.  Quarterdeck's
vidram program would let you do the same thing under DOS.

I recommend forgetting the info program and using emacs to read the docs.
