In terms of archive size, JED might be a bit more reasonable...what might
be better would be to include a prominent document listing places where
one can find various useful utilities.  As long as it was kept fairly
up-to-date it wouldn't be a problem.  BTW, why is the FAQ updated so
infrequently?  Things might work rather better if it were periodically
updated and posted (and of course uploaded).

Perhaps (almost) all executables could be encrypted and the luser would
have to read the docs and take a test to get the key---anybody intelligent
enough to get the key without taking the test wouldn't need to take it.

Are you sure about this?  I thought it was shareware...$45 or something.
