I'm glad for you that you found a solution.  Note, however, that
DJGPP v2.0 will be DPMI-only environment, so you better solve
the problem for DPMI some day in the near future.

What version of DOS do you use?  If you also see that problem
under QDPMI, then you probably have QEMM; did you try to run
under QEMM and Windows?
