Subject:	critical error handler

Is there a chance to hook the critical error handler with djgpp?
If one hits A)bort after the MsDos request, the application program
aborts immediately without restoring the C-Break handler (1Bh)(now at the verge
of a crash). 
However instead of  this A)R)I)--message 'popping up' I just want to
get an error code. How to do?
