Last I checked, ms_sh satisfied most of the above (although it isn't
by default quite as easy to install as other programs...if you compiled
it with DJGPP (currently it only comes compiled with MSC, Watcom, and
EMX), you would even inherit support for long command lines.  On that
thought, one might even attempt to port bash--or would it be too big?
