Subject: gnu c for PeeCees

I am running the latest and greatest (gnu cc 2.6.0) and am having problems
compiling programs of any size. I am running on a Compaq 386sl/25-based
notebook with a 120mb hard drive with about 50% free space.

When I compile any large module (somewhere around 500-1000 lines or more)
I get the error message "problem with c drive...correct and press any key".
If I turn on any optimization (-O2 for example) the size of the source
module that I can compile reduces even further. I have the 1.12 maint release
2 from your ftp/pub directory. Any ideas on what I should do to correct
this problem?

Thanks..
