Subject: Is there a version porting gcc.2.5.8?

I have been suggesting ftp.qdeck.com, but they seem to have "cleaned
up" their directories by eliminating "useless obsolete" packages.
If anyone knows an alternative site, please post. Simtel only
carries most recent versions I believe. I haven't checked Garbo
recently.
I do have archives of DJGPP stuff back to 1.09 or so, but will
have to restore from tape (I think) and move it into an appropriate
place in my Linux box's directory structure (I use wu-ftpd so symlinks
don't work outside of the anonymous user's pseudo-root directory, and
I can't hardlink to a DOS partition). This will take about 24 hours
from the date of this message (note Japan time). After this is done
DJGPP 1.11 & its maint releases will be available in

	   file://turnbull.sk.tsukuba.ac.jp/pub/djgpp/1.11/

The Japanese domain has been having nameserver (primarily in mail
exchange but I don't trust them, period :) problems recently; the IP
address is 130.158.99.4. Use of direct IP addresses is deprecated, we
may be moving to dynamic addressing in the near future.
If you have a WWW browser, you can also try accessing this archive
through URL "http:/turnbull.sk.tsukuba.ac.jp/". Please let me know of
any problems.
If anyone has any experience with NCSA httpd or wu-ftpd, and can
tell me how to set it up, I will create a grep'able archive of the
mailing list as penance for the FAQ I promised to write but haven't
yet done significant work on. In any case, I will put up what
archived messages I have. No promises about completeness, but I've
been saving by months for about a year now. (So you won't have to FTP
the whole DJGPP archive from Clarkson!)
DISCLAIMER: My server is likely to be intermittently available,
the Japanese net itself remains somewhat unreliable, and so if you
manage to access anything useful from it, just consider yourself
lucky.
