Subject:	Info on DPMI mode

Hi folks,

        I'm a newcomer to 32-bit programming on the x86 processor and
I'm using djgpp to experiment with.  I've had a lot of success so far,
but I've got some questions:

1) How come the GRX library or the simple graphics library that DJGPP
   comes with do not work with DPMI?  I can get everything to work fine
   by adding the 'nodpmi' to the GO32 environment variable.

2) I'm interested in learning more about DPMI in general.  The DJGPP docs
   mention some Intel document, but is this document available on the
   Internet?  Can anyone recommend a good source of information?

3) Where can I get hold of some source code/executables demonstrating
   how to program sound cards using DJGPP?  I'm interested particularly
   in stereo cards like the SB16.
