This is I guess a newbie kind of question, but I need some help
getting certain classes of programs for DJGPP to run. I believe that
I am having problems because I don't have QEMM or other newer memory
managers. I have himem.sys 386emm.sys and emm.sys. Was able to get the
grapics test program to run, but others fail. For instance, can
execute elvis's fmt, but not elvis. Keep getting unsupported dos error
or segmentation violations. Since my DJGPP compiler produced these
executables I have to think that the programs  are OK, but my
configuration is messed up. Are there any freeware/public domain, or
if I have to use a commercial one I'd like to know which, but I don't
want to start a religious war or anything, but flames for posting in
the wrong group welcome.
