A big thank you to all those who answered my plead for help!  And, a big thank
you to DJ for a great C compiler!  

I'm a rookie at this C stuff, so I didn't know to put the -lpc at the end of
the gcc command.  Now, I remember others with this problem, but I just 
didn't pay close enough attention.

Also, DJ suggested that I use dosmemget to simulate peek, or use 
<sys/farptr.h>.  I'll give them a try tonight.
