I did try with 'cd ..\\foo', but it did not solve the problem. As I said,
if TMPDIR is defined it works. It is more like a temporary file problem ??

The Make program itself is supposed to search the command in the PATH.  If
it does find it then the make prints 'Command not found'. Nothing to do
with command.com.
