If anybody is interested, a friend of mine took the djgpp libc ref,
reduced the font size, took out the excess white space, fixed the 
table of contents and the functional index (I don't know if these were
actually broken, but we couldn't get them to print) and in general, made it 
look much better.  It prints out to about 55 double-sided pages.  Much 
smaller than the >250 pages of the original.  He also did the same kind of 
thing for the gcc (I am not sure if it is the djgpp specific) manual.
