Subject: Micro emacs and demacs

Whenever I run demacs, it leaves my PC in a state where Microemacs 3.12 will
not work until I reboot. The symptoms are that the cursor moves to the
bottom of the screen and the screen never gets repainted, even if the file
changes. This happens whether I use the modified GO32 which came with demacs
or GO32 1.09, 1.10, 1.10a or 1.11. But, if I run in a Desqview window, the
problem goes away (at least with GO32 1.11) until I exit DV. (BTW, I think
this is the first GO32 which I've been able to run successfully under DV.)
Any suggestions on what might cause this behavior? Does it happen to anyone
else?

(One reason for sometimes using Microemacs is that it handles long lines more
conveniently that demacs. If hscroll.el worked for DOS, I probably would
just dump Microemacs.)
