First, thanks for all the replies! And good news!

It was suggested that I write the routines that Eiffel/S needed, these
being getdrive(), chdrive(), and getcwd2(). OK, so I poked around the few
PC's at work, and found header definitions for get/chdrive, but getcwd2()
was a real kicker - It is used in the Eiffel lib that does not come w/ source.

Well, Marc-Jean, in France mentioned that the German Co had a special
file called fixpath.c which he had obtained from them. I tried email
and calling the US distributor with no success.

When I got home, I decided to sling the code for get/chdrive(), and for
getcwd2() which would print an error and exit. Well getcwd2() is one of
the first routines used! So I reinstalled, planning to try my just purchased
Borland C++, and what flies by on the screen, but the name "fixpath.c"
in the install\gnudj directory! This file, when added to the djgpp
library, has the needed functions! and is not mentioned anywhere, nor
manipulated by the install program, nor mentioned in the two release notes,
but now I can get on with my class project!

Hopefully, others who run into this prblem, and searching the email archives
will find this of use!

Regards,
Mark M.
