Wait for 1.11.  It has a generic 32<->16 interface based on the DPMI
spec that allows this kind of thing.

The source file is designed to operate in multiple environments.  If
you are building go32.exe, you define that symbol so that it knows to
connect to go32's mechanisms.  If you are using it in a different
program, don't define that symbol.

No.  Normally they are, and you can normally assume they are, but some
libc.a functions temporarily change ds and/or es.
