Subject: c++, oemacs and everything

Hi again

Well as you can guess (if not prepare for the schock) I am a complete
newbie to djgpp/gcc, and this mailinglist so here comes...

1. I run oemacs.. and I made the mistake of deleting the go32.exe that
came with oemacs (go32 1.10oe?) and tried to start oemacs with the
djgpp (1.10) ZILCH it left with an error msg. *SIGH* more go32.exe
files. I unerased the go32 1.10oe and it works fine now.

2. Well I tried to compile a hello world (hello.cc) (c++) so I made a
gcc hello.c -lc, and at first I got the errormessage from the linker
that it couldnt find crt0.o.. so I looked around and found a file
called gcrt0.o.. aha copied over that file to crt0.o.. but then the
linker answered that cout and endl and so on were undefined (I
included <iostream.h> in hello.cc)

3. any other I need to know of? :) (As a newbie, I am used to compile
with CC on a UNIX machine.. and I know a little C++) but all
information over that, regarding djgpp, are relevant.

4. BTW how does qemm 7.01 cooperate with gcc? I have 12 megs of ram, 5
of those goes to diskcache.. but gcc seems to swap anyway ( I know
almost nothing about extended expanded memory) and make reports just
500k free :(
