Subject: Alternatives: DV/X and SLIP

Dunno much about SLIP. I thought about trying to connect several PCs
running DVX under SLIP, but it turns out that the best way to deal with
that situation was to get a monster disk and work on one machine....
But ... FTP Software's PC/TCP makes SLIP pretty transparent as far
as I can tell from the docs. Unfortunately, I am no longer at Ohio
State, so I can't grab the stuff.... (But I'm still an employee until
Sept 30. Hmmmmm....)
So I would say get FTP's PC/TCP. Maybe it's too expensive if you
don't have a site license---even with the license at OSU it was $75 for
the binaries and $35 for the paper docs.
