Subject: newbie questions (not on FAQ)

Hi, all,

I have finally upgraded to a 386 box, and unpacked DJGPP 1.10.
I have just about everything from omnigate, and I have been
following what little of this discussion that has not gone over
my head for the past couple or three months.

First question: I have the vague impression that the Desqview
libraries would let me compile (if I had appropriate source) a
terminal emulator such that I could use my PC, dial in on my SUN
workstation at work, and run openwindows. Is this true? Is
there already such an emulator out there already?

And a related question: what am I supposed to do to get the dvx
demos to work? I compiled them without errors, but when I try
to run the *.exe files, they just return my DOS prompt.

And a change of gears: I have heard that there is a tool
recently uploaded to omnigate to allow one to scan the texinfo
documentation. I may have it, without recognizing it (there
are some files in my c:\djgpp directory that may be this thing).
So first of all, when this thing is unzipp'ed, where does it
land (so I can tell if I got it). What is the archive's name on
omnigate (in case I missed it)? What do I do to build & use it
(because I sure can't tell if what I have is it).

Thanksabunch,

		--Bill
