Subject:	DJGPP gcc on 486

Help!! 

I've downloaded djgpp, and installed it on my 486 PC with 8M RAM and
210M disk.  Having set up all the paths and read all the READMEs and
the gcc manual, I run gcc:

gcc use.c -c -o use.o -m486

and get the message:

Unknown file type 0x2a2f (025057).

Differnt files (and / or invocations) give different numbers.


I've tired running the C through the unix to DOS converter and back
again, with no success in either format.


Any suggestions?
