djgpp provides the ability to compile programs such that they execute
in the 80386/80486's 32-bit mode instead of the the default (for dos)
16-bit mode. This includes full access to virtual memory through
32-bit pointers, arithmetic using 32-bit integers, etc. The utilities
provided to perform this function are the same GNU tools available for
most Unix systems (gcc, bison, flex, etc).
