Hi, everybody!

on Tuesday, I said that I had once ported INFO/MAKEINFO, and offered to
upload this port to omnigate, and I said it was about version 2.17.

Actually, after looking at it, I found out that it's 2.15. Then, some people
(thanks to them) pointed me to the existence of a package texinfo 3.??, so
I went out and got that today. I unwrapped it and then I found out in a quick
glance at all the new stuff, that Brian J. Fox, the author of the standalone
package, has done a *complete* rewrite of his code, which seems to me to be
indicating that this one has changed so much, that I'll probably have to
rewrite my things from the beginning. And that means: I'll *not* be uploading
anything as soon as promised.

(If anyone can't wait until then, tell me. I'll then perhaps upload my port
of 2.15 (which was done by using a TERMCAP libary I found as part of LINUX)
to omnigate (in case that I manage to get *into* it), or mail it, if you really
want to have it. (by mail, I would send binaries only, about 100KB).

Bye, for a longer while, to be assumed,...

Hans-Bernhard
