Please refrain from using djgpp-announce for technical questions.

Run the "mem" command and see how much physical memory is *available*.
The search order is expanded, XMS, and then extended.  Installing disk
cache or ramdisk software will use up the available memory, leaving
less for go32.  Recommended minimums are about 1M for running small
programs, 2-4M for compiling.
