I have heard from Microsoft support that if you have a Conner harddisk 
you should not use the disk compression. Microsoft support talks something 
about cross linked clusters only on that particular brand...
I for one had problems with the disk compression utility on a Conner SCSI 
disk. I have not tested it on any other yet...
I am now back to DOS 5.0
