Subject: dpmi under windows

I have downloaded djdev110.zip with the intention of testing out the
dpmi support in the dos box under windows 3.1. If successful, I was
going to use the new go32.exe with some of the dj-compiled programs
that I have on my system. I do not intend to put up the whole
development environment yet.

So, I found diff.exe under dj\bin. When I ran it, it complained about
not having enough dpmi memory, something akin to

cannot load/run, not enough memory (0X00410000)

I then tried to run demacs (the japanese port that uses go32.COM),
using

	dj\bin\go32 <path>/demacs

and it complained about the same problem with a different memory
amount.

Any hints? I tried playing with the DOSPRMPT.PIF file to make windows
give the dos box 1meg of XMS and 1meg of EMS. Without any info on how
windows provides dpmi memory to an application, though, I'm really just
fumbling around with attempts like this one. If anyone has gotten 1.10
executables to run in a DOS box, please let me know how!
