I have some code that opens a lot of files, and sometimes users change
their config.sys files so that insufficient FILES=n are specified.

Is there a guru with some code that queries this parameter from DOS.
I'd have thought there ought to be a DOS interupt for it, but I don't
see one. Code that would work with either gcc or TurboC would be nice.
