Subject: 286 FAQ

I realize that this is asking for an elaboration of one of the listed
Frequently Asked Questions, but before I waste any of my own time, I want
to be sure I understand all the implications.

True or False?
DJGPP, running on a 386 CPU, can produce code that will run
on a 286 machine (using the real-mode gcc front end), but it
is not worth trying to port DJGPP itself to run on a 286,
because its memory requirements are so great that you will
still need 386 virtual memory management to use it.

Thanksabunch,
