Dear Hartmut,
(cf. Csaba Biegl)

(Okay, I see the reasoning about the patches.)

As per your questions about my 256-color problem with BCC2GRX/LIBGRX,

Yes, the same problem.

> - 320x200x256 mode ok ?

No. Any 256-color mode by ativga.grn and ati.grd have the problem.
And, 320x200x256 mode by stdvga.grn also have the same problem.
So, I guess the problem is not in ati driver. Two possiblities, my video card
is not standard, or graphics drivers + libgrx malfunctioned.

Yes, it seemed to be okay. The ROM BIOS version of my ATI VGA Wonder card is
VGA1024 V5M-1.00. I have had no problem with 256 color mode on other
applications(Non-LIBGRX). Indeed, I am using an image file viewer(written by
myself with BCC/TCC + SVGA256 bgi driver(from an archive)) in 256 color mode,
and have no problem. I don't know where the problem with LIBGRX/BCC2GRX is.

I am not familiar with this. I have an info doc for programming ATI VGA
Wonder, but I don't have enough time to digest it.

No. Probably I should do, but I mistakenly deleted all my emails. Could you
forward some of my previous messages to him if you still have?
I don't know his email address, so I post this to the list-server.

Thanks.
