Subject: djgpp distribution problems

Has something changed regarding the FTP availability of the MSDOS
port of GNU C? The following is the official djgpp site location
advertized by the prep.ai.mit.edu machine, the repository for GNU
software (this excerpt is from the file MSDOS.gcc):

>File location:
>
> host: barnacle.erc.clarkson.edu
> login: ftp
> password: send your e-mail address
> directory: ~ftp/pub/msdos/djgpp
>
>Many thanks to the sysops at Clarkson for providing a home to djgpp!
>
>As a convenience to non-FTP users, djgpp is also stored on Clarkson's
>archive server. To access the archive server, do this:
>
> % mail archive-server AT barnacle DOT erc DOT clarkson DOT edu
> Subject: <none>
> help
> index msdos/djgpp
> ^D

For several weeks it has been impossible to gain FTP access to
barnacle.erc.clarkson.edu, and the attempt to use the archive
server "archive-server AT barnacle DOT erc DOT clarkson DOT edu" produced this
failure response:

Can anyone provide any helpful information about what is going
wrong here, and how to successfully access the djgpp software?
