I realize this is probably not the most appropriate place to post this message,
but... There have been recent arguments about the capabilities of different
DOS ports of GNU Emacs and TeX on this listserv, but I've already deleted all
those messages. I consider a programmer's opinion of a text editor to be
more valuable than someone concerned with word processing so:

Let me know what versions of DOS or DOS/DVX Emacs, TeX, and .dvi viewers you
have used and how you liked them (not just DJGPP compiled). Give me some
information on what has been cut out of the original Unix version for the DOS
port. Disk space and speed would be good also. I am looking at both DOS
and DOS/DVX versions for different computers (ie. xdvi solves my DVX problem
but not for straight DOS). Information about other text editors/type setters
is welcome.

I will compile and post a summary of responses to this mailing list, so you
don't need to cc: djgpp.
