Thanks to Jan Kok and J. Miller for your suggestions about disk caches
usable with DJGPP. Unfortunately, none of the suggested caches (SMARTDRV
and COMBI) worked well: I had the same problems that I mentioned im my last
message. This is rather strange. When I had only ONE hard disk with
partitions of ~100 and ~25 Mb the Hyperdisk cache worked perfectly
(however, the Norton Cache, which I tried to use before Hyperdisk,
already caused the same type of crashes I am experiencing now).
By the way, I forgot to mention, in my last message, that my 486 has
an AMI BIOS and the OPTI-486WB ASIC chip set (I do not know if any of this is
relevant to the problem).
