Is it possible to invoke "M-X compile" under demacs. I always seem to
run out of memory. Here is the result of invoking nmake as the program
to be run by compile. Error D2027 probably indicates not enough memory
(says Microsoft help).

	cd c:/src/which/
	nmake

Microsoft (R) Program Maintenance Utility Version 1.11

		cl /Zi -DDOS which.c
	Microsoft (R) C Optimizing Compiler Version 6.00A
Copyright (c) Microsoft Corp 1984-1990. All rights reserved.

	which.c
Command line error D2027 : could not execute 'C:\C600\BIN\c2.exe'
NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'cl' : return code '2'
	Stop.

Here is the result of running mapmen as the program to be invoked by
"compile". Can the space occupied by DEMACS be recuced? Or can the
space occupied by nmake be reduced?

	cd c:/src/which/
	mapmem

Jove produces essentially the same results. Is micrognu (mg) any better?

Many Thanks:
