I believe it's close to impossible.  I'm sure others will give you the
gory details of what can be done.

Many of them.  I ported a bunch of them, including fileutils,
textutils, and shellutils, last year.  They are available via
anonymous FTP from twok.ods.com (192.94.73.2) in ~/ftp/pub/gnu-dos.
Please access this site during non-business hours.  I plan on updating
these utilities with the latest from FSF when I find the time.
