Thanks for your input John. Let me try to get a copy of the whole
2.3.3 beast including the obj-c runtimes, and then assess what the
damage will be. I'll post again on this topic once I have a better
idea of what's going to be required. 

PS My guess is to bootstrap the compiler under OS/2 using EMX, since
it can handle long filenames, and make a DOS exe as well. But that's
only a guess...
