Subject: Some Questions & Comments

>May I presume you to be Quarterdeck Offices Systems official interface to
>the net-people for DV/X?? If so, some (maybe stupid) questions:

Sorry about the delay, I was out most of last week and still have unread
messages. No this is not part of my job. E-mail support for Quarterdeck
products is provided on the Internet by sending requests to support AT qdeck DOT com.

> - How does one utilize the DLLs?

A program needs to be built to use them. We currently only have DLLs that
support Microsoft C 6.0 (and probably 7.0). You would need the X11 Toolkit
(about $300).

> - Can (will) QOS provide libraries for various things such as picking
> files, the confirmation window and other niceties that would give
> third party software the same look as the DV/X utilities.

We have considered, and made noises about releasing those libraries but
currently have no plans.

> - Is there a mechanism for reporting bugs on the net? I'm having some
> problems with my recently-purchaced Desqview Companions.

Send them to support AT qdeck DOT com.

> - Is there an (semi/non) official forum on the net for DV/X. ( one that
> supports mailing lists at least, since that's all I can access for
> the time being.

There is a news group comp.os.msdos.desqview. I do not know of such a mailing
list.
