It's not quite as simple. The actual subshell function aborts
on receiving the error from the shell, no matter what it is.
That means that no clean-up is performed and the subshell exit
hook (whatever it is) does not get used. On my Demacs, which
uses ANSI key redefinition, that means that the keyboard gets
all screwed up.
Yes, I have reported the bug along with various others. However,
I did not get a reply, and I'm not sure there's any ongoing
development on DEmacs. Anybody have connections?
