There are two parts to the answer:

	1) Don't use EMM386 (It is an ugly Microsoftism)
	2) Good.  Now, assuming that you have now switched to a real
	   memory manager (I.e., QEMM), don't use the NOEMS switch.

You're right.  It is a FAQ.  Repeat after me,

	"VCPI is an extention to EMS 4.0.  VCPI *requires* EMS!"
