Subject: Stacker 2.0 & go32?
Status: O

I joined this list recently, so I apologize if this has been covered.
Are there any known problems running go32 executables with disk volumes
managed by Stacker 2.0?

I have had programs which use large amounts of memory hang the system
or generate a seg fault. I am not sure, but this may occur when go32
needs to write information out to the disk swap file. I suspect go32 has
problems writing to a Stacker disk volume.

I now have a system with both Stacker and non-Stacker partitions, so
I will try to do some research myself soon.

By the way, djgpp is fantastic. Having worked on Unix systems for years,
it's incredibly painful to deal with segmented memory and 16-bit integers,
but then, I guess you know that already.
